We've all heard about dumb criminals but, have you ever heard about one who asks permission before committing his crime? Probably not.

A San Antonio man was arrested after allegedly stealing items from a home in a subdivision under construction.

According to a police affidavit, Danny Acosta approached a subcontractor working on a new house, lifted his shirt and revealed a handgun. Acosta asked "can I rob the house?" He reportedly asked about a home next door, and the workman said "It's not my house." The subcontractor told police he then saw Acosta come out of the house carrying a microwave oven, and he took a picture of the man putting it into his car.

Acosta now faces a charge of aggravated robbery.
