The Firefighter was assisting at the scene of a car accident when he was struck.

On the morning of February 12th, while working an accident on Trans Mountain, an El Paso Firefighter was struck and the driver fled the scene. Thanks to tips, police were able to track down the driver, 46-year-old Shiloh Danielle Hutchings, earlier today at a hotel in Northeast El Paso. Members of the US Marshall's Lone Star Fugitive Task Force made the arrest and she is being held under a $100,000 bond.

EPPD and the El Paso Fire Department released a plea for help in finding the driver after the accident and that is apparently what did the trick as a "tip" led officers to Hutchings. Recent updates list the Firefighter's condition as "stable" and he remains at University Medical Center.

A gofundme account has been set up to assist him with his medical bills.
