FOUR ALL-STARS:

Four Houston Astros were selected for the 2021 MLB All-Star game.  Carlos Correa, Jose Altuve, Michael Brantley, and reliever Ryan Presley. Correa leads the Astros with a .390 on-base percentage, and Altuve leads the Astros with 19 home runs. Altuve is arguably the best leadoff hitter in the MLB.

SKIPPING THE MIDSUMMER CLASSIC:

Yesterday, we learned that the Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa and second baseman Jose Altuve will not be attending the All-Star Game at Coors Field. As reported by ESPN, Correa is skipping the All-Star game to spend time with his wife. "Baseball is really important to me, but family will always come first," Correa said, adding that he's grateful for everyone who voted for him.

Altuve is skipping the game for different reasons. He will be skipping the All-Star Game so he can rest his ailing left leg. He does not need any procedures done on the leg and thanked the fans for voting for him. Altuve told ESPN, "I need those four days to get everything with my leg right and be really healthy for the second half because I feel like the team needs me 100%"

For now, it's time to beat those Yankees!  Let's go Astros!!!
