Victoria College will begin telling the story of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis at the Museum of the Coastal Bend.

Crossroadstoday.com reports that the exhibit "Coronavirus at the Coastal Bend" will be ready to open by August 14th. Heather Para managers the exhibits at the museum and says, “We wanted to display the impact the pandemic has had on our region and how its people have adapted to the crisis. After the museum closed its doors on March 17 in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, museum staff began documenting community experiences by collecting first-hand photos and videos.”

Credit for the exhibit also goes to Photographer Emree Weaver with the Victoria Advocate and Bria Woods with VTG. To go along with the new exhibit at the museum, a Youtube Channel will make it even easier to enjoy the happenings over at the Museum of the Coastal Bend. It will begin showing the "Coronavirus at the Coastal Bend" at 4:30 PM on Thursday, August 13th.

The Museum of the Coastal Bend has been open since May 5th and is operating within the state guidelines. The hours at the museum are 10 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday thru Saturday. They do ask visitors to wear facial coverings, submit to a temperature check and health screening before entry. Hand sanitation stations are available at the entrance.
