A fun afternoon on the water turned to rescue operation this past weekend.  The Coast Guard was called to the scene and medevaced a jet skier that was about 6 miles off-shore in Port Aransas.

A good Samaritan made a call to the Coast Guard about a woman who was experience extreme sickness.   A Coast Guard Station Port Aransas 45-foot Response Boat-Medium boat crew was dispatched to the scene and transferred the patient to awaiting emergency medical services personnel at Station Port Aransas, as reported by coastguardnews.com

 Petty Officer 3rd Class Trey Hicks says “We’re very pleased with the work of our crews for acting quickly and effectively to transfer the patient"  he adds, “Excellent work to the good Samaritan for assessing the situation and reaching out to assist, as well as everyone involved.”

The patient was reported to be in stable condition.
