According to the original case, eight-year-old Zayden had been on the back porch when he was hit by a stray bullet from a wooded area nearby. However physical evidence concluded the stray bullet report could not have been possible.

The Impossible Scenerio

A search warrant was issued and further physical investigation continued. Following witness statements and compiled physical evidence it turns out the original scenario could not have been possible.

Panic and Heartbreak

A press release from Henderson County Sherriff Office indicated Zayden's 14-year-old brother was actually the one who shot the gun. In a panicked state, his brother originally told police a false narrative.

However, after speaking with a close family member it was just an accident. A family member told Townsquare Media, "I want to be very clear that he would never purposely hurt his brother. He loved his brother very much. Did he lie about what happened? Yes, but he is a 14-year-old child that panicked."

The 14-year-old brother was actually the person who called 9-1-1 and also immediately started performing life-saving measures on his little brother until first responders arrived. However, Zayden sadly passed away at the Children's Hospital in Dallas.

Our condolences go out to the family, friends, and loved ones of everyone involved.
