Its been pretty convenient being able to take a short flight to Austin or Houston on Texas Sky, just a hop and a skip instead of a 2 hour or more drive. Unfortunately, those flights come to an end today. There is good news to the rest of the story-they have added non-stop flights to Dallas-Ft. Worth.

According to a press release, the flights to DFW begin this Monday, May 1st,and  they'll fly once per day Sunday through Friday. Ticket prices are $100 each way, which includes all taxes and fees.  Flights are around one hour each way.

Lenny Llerena, the Victoria Regional Airport Executive Director said “The Victoria Regional Airport is excited about the returning air service from Victoria to the DFW airport.  This direct flight provides fast access for business and leisure travelers who travel to the Dallas Fort Worth area or are making connecting flights at the DFW airport.”

The DFW International airport currently has ten domestic air carriers and 17 International air carriers traveling to over 200 destinations globally.  It is the third largest airport in the world in terms of operations and the tenth largest airport when measuring passengers.  From the DFW airport, you can reach every major city in the continental United States within four hours.
