How 'bout tthe hem Generals! The Texas Collegiate League Baseball Playoffs got underway last night, and the Victoria Generals won their first game over the Texarkana Twins 5-2 at Riverside Stadium.

Michael Williams nailed an inside-the-park homer, Marshall Skinner sent a solo shot over the fence, and Generals starting pitcher Pedro Garcia had a good night striking out 13 batters,

The win moves the Generals into the championship series,a best-of-three that begins tonight in Youngsville, Lousiana against the Acadiana Cane Cutters, who beat the Brazos Valley Bombers 3-2. Game 2 is set for 7:05pm at Riverside Stadium tomorrow, and if necessary, game 3 will be Saturday  night at Riverside
