Remember when phones had those wonderful little press-able keys on them? Before the touch screen was invented, phone had buttons on them. I know there are some people out there who would look upon a phone with buttons and go, "Ew." And those people frustrate me to no end. I rather enjoy buttons on a phone, and today's holiday is all bout those phones.

Today's holiday is a sort of birthday for the push button phones. They first button phone was introduced to the world back in 1963 in Pennsylvania. Since then, phones have been evolving into more complex and smaller devices. Cellphones have made push button phones all but archaic in comparison, but I personally enjoy pressing button rather than a touch screen.

I'm just saying, my flip phone (a phone with buttons) didn't try to automatically correct my texts because it thought I was trying to type "32nd" rather than "and." Oh, yes Autocorrect. You are right. I meant to say, "I am going to the store 32nd grabbing milk 32nd eggs." Thank you Autocorrect, you are never wrong.

Bias towards inconvenient technological decisions aside, phones are a great invention that help us keep in contact with friends and family. If you want to learn more about today's holiday, click here.
