If you travel downtown Victoria on a regular basis, you will likely face some delays this week, as the city installs utility lines in some areas, which will require some lane reductions.

Beginning today (July 5) North Street will be reduced to westbound only traffic from East Street to Depot Street to install utility lines. This eastbound lane closure will be for one week including the overnight hours, weather permitting.

Also beginning today (July 5) Main Street will be reduced to one lane from Stayton Avenue to Commercial Street to install utility lines. This lane reduction is expected to take 4 days, weather permitting.

All businesses in the construction zone will remain open and accessible, and the public is encouraged to support businesses in the work zone. Through-traffic can avoid delays in the work zone by seeking alternate routes.
