Every year there's a special event that raises money to grant Christmas wishes to kids stricken with cancer. It's called the Kory Kubecka Santa Run, and it's been an annual event since 2008. The event is named for Kory Kubecka of LaSalle, who was 16 when he passed away from Lukemia. Kory was being treated at Mehodist Children's Hospital in San Antonio, and every year a group of volunteers takes a caravan of motorcycles to the hospital to deliver Christmas presents. This year's benefit is this weekend, and we have details below.

The event takes place Saturday, September 13th at Vanderbilt Trinity Hall, at 5508 FM 616 in Vanderbilt. Bring your bikes, bring your hot rods, and get ready for the run atarting at 10am. There's music all day long, a cake walk, a live auction, and even a bounce house for kids.

$8 barbecue brisket and sausage plates will be available, along with beer, set-ups, soft drinks and bottled water, no ice chests, please.

For more info, call 361-284-3522 or 361-220-7786.

All the money raised goes to help grant Christmas wishes, so come on out and help support a great cause.
