Flocked for Team Marla

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the world's largest fundraising event to end cancer. It unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all. Relay for Life will take place in Victoria April 24th-25th.

One Victoria local team has been Flocking Yards to help raise money.  Family and friends of Marla Hartman have come together and formed a team to remember her. Marla Hartman lost her battle to gallbladder cancer.  Her smile could light up a room. She love to collect pink flamingos.  It only seemed the perfect fit to "Flock Yards" with Pink flamingos to help raise money for the team.

If you would like to have a home flocked its only $25.00.  Which means for a $25 donation a member of Marla’s team will place pink lawn flamingos in a friend’s yard with a sign explaining that they have been “flocked” for Marla's Flock.The flock will be removed by a team member within 48 hours of their placement or at the request of the person being flocked. Once a person has been flocked, he or she has the option of forwarding the flock to another location for a donation, or they may purchase flocking insurance ($10.00) to prevent further flocking.
