Former Faith No More vocalist Chuck Mosley’s death shocked the rock world when it was announced on Nov. 10. An official statement from Mosley’s family only cited “the disease of addiction” as his cause of death, but new reports have pointed toward a heroin overdose.

Mosley was the voice of Faith No More for the band’s first two albums, We Care a Lot and Introduce Yourself, which are hailed today as underground essentials. Mike Patton would take Faith No More’s mic during the band’s explosion in popularity, but Mosley was never forgotten by fans.

Chuck Mosley’s life ended at 57 years of age, having experienced a long period of sobriety before reportedly relapsing. According to TMZ, Mosley’s body was found by a friend, and his longtime partner, Pip Logan, Nov. 9 at around 8PM inside the couple’s Cleveland home. Cleveland police reportedly found two syringes, a baggie and a spoon containing residue by Mosley’s body.

Just a couple weeks earlier, Chuck Mosley attended the 2017 Loudwire Music Awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

A toxicology report has yet to be received by the Medical Examiner’s office. It’s estimated that the results won’t be delivered and publicly revealed for a number of weeks.

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page has been started to help the singer’s family to pay for a small private ceremony for family and friends, with any excess money going to organize a concert to celebrate Chuck’s music and life. For additional details, head here.

We’d once again like to extend our deepest condolences to the loved ones of Mosley.
