The Houston Astros dominated the Los Angeles Angels 13-3 yesterday, wrapping up a sweep of their 3-game series.

Jose Altuve came up big at the plate belting 2 home runs and 6 RBIs, Luis Valbuena, Preston Tucker and Evan Gatttis also homered, marking 5 total, a season high for the team.

Jose Altuve is red hot with league-leading .360 batting average. He's also hit a career high 17 home runs this season.

Meanwhile, the Texas Rangers kept the Astros from gaining any divisional ground by beating the Kansas City Royals 2-1.

Delino DeShields, who was just called up from Triple-A Round Rock last Thursday made the difference with a 7th-inning homer that broke a tie, and proved to be the game winner.

The Rangers have now won back-to-back games for the first time since late June.
