Well, we finally got the rain we so desperately needed, but like everything else, there's a trade-off. Now, we have the usual mosquito infestation that make being outdoors so much fun. There is good news though...both the City of Victoria and Victoria County are sending in the cavalry.

Officials announced yesterday that mosquito spraying will begin to help eliminate those nasty little pests. Victoria County has announced that they will begin spraying over the next few days, depending on the weather. Robert Leister of the county says he hopes to have the entire county sprayed at least once this week, hopefully twice.

City of Victoria officials began spraying last night, and in fact I saw them in my neighborhood this morning. (Yay!)

Officials remind residents that they can help reduce the mosquito population by not allowing standing water to remain, and by keeping your yard mowed regularly.
